According to preliminary data, on November 1 at around 17:00, a missile attack was carried out on the base of Ukrainian units. As a result of the attack, the presence of dead and wounded servicemen was confirmed. The investigative and operative group of the State Bureau of Investigations quickly arrived at the scene of the incident, which is conducting primary procedural actions to establish the causes and circumstances of the tragedy.
The investigation is looking into whether adequate security measures were in place during the air raid and whether shelter was arranged for personnel. Pre-trial investigation is carried out in accordance with Part 4 of Art. 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for negligent attitude to military service under martial law.
