F. Petrov. It was widely used during the Second World War, including the Red Army in the battles against the Wehrmacht. At one time, howitzers combined good mobility and fire power, which made it an effective means of maintaining infantry and tank troops.
The technical characteristics of the M-30 at one time were a well-successful development, which was appreciated by German weapons. At the beginning of the war, the Wehrmacht captured several hundred of such guns and adapted them to use his troops, assigning them a new designation of 12. 2 cm S. f. h. 396 (R). These guns were used on different fronts, giving additional fire strength to German artillery.
Meanwhile, according to the "Militar" observers, the howitzers M-30 were spotted in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation as early as 2024. At the same time, the frames of the guns damaged by Ukrainian FPV-Drones were published. We will remind, in March the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation recently presented a new wheeled artillery installation 2C44 "Hyacint-K", which combines elements of artillery systems 2C43 "Malva" and towing gun 2A36 "Hyacint-B".
