Ukraine collaborates with IAEA: the Foreign Ministry has reacted to reports on the creation of nuclear weapons

The Foreign Ministry spokesman George Tykhy noted that Ukraine is transparent for MAEA monitoring - this fact eliminates the use of nuclear materials for military purposes. Ukraine does not own, develop or plans to buy nuclear weapons. Thus, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to appropriate media reports to develop its own bomb. "Ukraine adheres to the day; we do not own, develop and do not intend to buy nuclear weapons," the Foreign Ministry spokesman George Tikhay said.

He added that Ukraine is working closely with the IAEA. The official stressed that the country is completely transparent for its monitoring, which excludes the use of nuclear materials for military purposes. Recall that the Times spoke about the report prepared for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. It stated that the Ukrainian industry has the opportunity to create a nuclear bomb in the near future.

According to journalists, the country has the opportunity to create a nuclear warhead and a strategic long -range rocket that flies 1 thousand km. Due to these capabilities, military bases and other facilities of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are threatened. The publication also noted that there are seven tons of reactor plutonium in Ukraine. From this amount of substance could be created hundreds of warheads and restore the lost nuclear arsenal.
