How to become a volunteer in mobile air defense groups: detailed instruction appeared

On June 11, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the start of the experimental project for the creation of Air Defense Groups in the DFTO. Its goal is to strengthen the ability of the air defense to attract prepared and motivated citizens. The Ministry of Defense explained in detail how to become a volunteer of the air defense group. Those who want to join the air defense group must first contact the DFTO commander at the place of residence.

If there is no DFTO, you can contact the local military administration. To join the air defense groups, it is necessary to enter into a DFTO contract. A citizen of Ukraine aged 18 years of age living in the community can be a member of voluntary formation. You also need to go through medical, professional and psychological selection.

Only citizens who are not mobilized in accordance with Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mobilization Training and Mobilization" can be a member of the Air Defense Group. Candidates for the positions of pilots (operators) of drones must have a certificate of external pilot issued at the request of the Cabinet resolution No. 1129. This requirement is not applied in the first 45 days from the start of the experimental project. The volunteer concludes a contract with the DFTO for three years.

After the person is included in the air defense group, the contract must be prohibited for the contract for combat or other tasks, except for air defense measures. To conclude a contract of volunteer DFTO, it is necessary to do the following: DFTO participants have the right to receive an additional remuneration of 100,000 UAH per month. They pay money according to the time of participation in air defense events. There is no fixed monthly amount, instead - the calculation for the days of duty.

The members of the VO groups are subject to social protection guarantees under Article 119 of the Labor Code of Ukraine, in particular, the preservation of the place of work and the position.
