Lockheed tests the three -RRIZHMAN ROST JAGM-MR: what is known about the test

The device makes it possible to increase the accuracy of the rocket because it allows you to fix the target, even if there are several objects in the field of view of Jagm-MR. Lockheed Martin experts have completed a testing of the possibilities of an advanced three-register search for the Air Earth-Earth rockets at the California landfill in California. According to the developers, with this device the rocket is able to fix the target even in the presence of several objects in the field of view.

This was reported on December 6 at Defense Post. Jagm Lockheed is a precision ammunition designed to neutralize expensive stationary, moving or moved terrestrial and maritime purposes. Last December, the JAGM-MR missile was tested by combat shooting, showing an increased up to 16 km.

The rocket is equipped with a three -arbitrary seeker that uses a near -infrared sensor (NIR), which increases the efficiency of the rocket, allowing you to improve the support and purpose of the target in different conditions and for various purposes. It is the third sensor built into the guide system, unlike the Jagm missile, which uses a two -mode sensor system.

The Director of the Air-Earth-Earth's missile system, Lockheed Martin Drake, said that this new generation weapons system provides higher accuracy of recognition and targeting, providing opportunities focused on specific tasks. "The advanced three-arbitrary seeker provides a new level of accuracy of guidance and protection, allowing Jagm-MR to be given a chosen goal, even if there are several goals in the field of view," Drake said.
