ISW analysts have paid attention to three statements of Russian top officials, which were heard one by one for literally two days. In particular, from April 14-15, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, and director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergey Narishkin, and Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. The whole three officials repeated one by one that the conditions of the Russian Federation for ceasefire were not fulfilled.
The report lists the main messages of the Kremlin representatives. On April 14, Lavrov stated in an interview with Roszma that in fact the "energy truce" was not performed. He explained that the cessation of mutual blows on the energy, which was agreed by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on March 18, envisaged a number of conditions.
These conditions include the removal of sanctions, such as grain and fertilizers of the Russian Federation, sanctions on the "Rossele Bank" and the return of this bank to the SWIFT system. None of these conditions have been fulfilled, so "there are no agreements," the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation said. The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on April 15.
The official responded to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, which reported about the violation of the energy truce by Ukraine. The Russians named six points, which came on April 14: in Bryansk, Kursk regions and in the occupied part of the Kherson region. "The Kremlin will clarify the date of expiration of the 30-day truce from the Ministry of Defense of Russia on the task of blows to energy infrastructure," the words of Peskov said.
On the same day, Narishkin stated that the Russian Federation seems to fully fulfill the conditions of the "energy truce", and Ukraine violates it. The official put responsibility for Kyiv for the consequences of such actions, TASS wrote. "Russian troops can strengthen the long -range strikes in Ukraine in the coming days, when the ceasefire ends," April 16 summed up ISW analysts.
It should be noted that Focus wrote about the details of the "Energy and Black Sea Truce", which was mentioned by Kremlin representatives. In particular, on March 18, US President Donald Trump spoke with Putin's phone and Putin announced that he agreed to stop blowing on energy. According to the Kremlin head, the truce began immediately after his words. On March 23-24, the US negotiations with delegations of the Russian Federation and Ukraine in Riyadh took place.
As a result of the negotiations, there were reports of ceasefire conditions. Moscow stated that it has the requirements for the withdrawal of sanctions against agricultural products and the bank. It was emphasized that the Russian Federation would leave the agreement if Ukraine violates the ban on blows or if the event fails to comply with the requirements for the "Rosselgobank".
