According to analysts, the Kremlin wants to get the population involved in hostilities. Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on compulsory state insurance of life and health of volunteers and mobilized, who were sent to the war against Ukraine.
Former Russian Head of State and Deputy Security Council Dmitry Medvedev previously stated that he wanted to contract a prestigious phenomenon and since the beginning of the year the Ministry of Defense has gained 231,000 volunteers. The journalists then stated that even if it is true, it is most likely not only about recruits, because the management is recruiting staff with Wagner PEC, who agreed to sign contracts.
By the way, Russian "military" states that the level of combat support of the military leaves much to be desired. In the Belgorod and Kursk region, territorial defense detachments have not received combat machine guns. Instead, they were given hunting rifles. In the Republic of Bashkortostan, analysts mentioned, a volunteer regiment was formed, consisting of at least 10 volunteer units and battalions.
