The military forces of the Russian Federation are making their way into the central regions of Pokrovsk and are being hit by the FPV drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Julian Röpke, a military columnist of the German publication Bild, wrote on the social network X (Twitter). In his opinion, the Armed Forces cannot stop the advance of the Russians, but can only slow it down. Röpke's post appeared in the evening on October 20.

He geolocated the recording and established that the enemy soldiers were found near the Mableville store, located in the city center on Zaliznychnaya Street. The observer concluded that the last battle for Pokrovsk should take place soon — the Defense Forces held the city for 14 months.

Röpke also wrote that the reason why the FPV had to attack the Russians in the very center of the settlement was the impossibility of stopping the advance of the Russian Armed Forces. "This shows that the battle for the city is approaching its final phase after 14 months. The fact remains: Kyiv can slow down the Russian forces, but it cannot stop them," the post reads. Pokrovsk is a city in the south of Donetsk region with an area of ​​30 square meters.
