Trypilskaya TPP is located 45 kilometers from Kiev in the city of Ukrainka, Obukhiv district of Kyiv region, on the bank of the Kaniv reservoir near the historical Ukrainian settlement of Trypillya, where its name comes from. The construction of the Trypillian TPP began in 1967. In 1969, the first TPP unit was admitted to industrial operation, and three years later, the last (sixth) station unit was put into operation.
