Britain will produce AR3 and AR5 drones: what is known about the initiative

The new plant will become the center of the full production cycle - from the development of prototypes and research to the production of UAV. "The expansion of Tekever will create highly skilled jobs in Sindon and make it possible to produce world -class drones while strengthening supply chains to the defense industry," Gili quotes. The construction of an area of ​​23 600 square meters will begin this year, and its opening is scheduled for the next one.

About a thousand highly skilled jobs will be created at the new enterprise. In addition, the plant will become a key production site for OverMatch worth about 460 million euros. Not only will the AR3 reconnaissance drones that are already actively used by the Armed Forces will not only increase the production of heavy AR5 drones, designed for long -distance missions. For Ukraine, this decision is of particular importance.

In 2023 it became known about the supply of drones of Tekever of the Armed Forces - it was about AR3, a light reconnaissance UAV of vertical takeoff and planting. AR3 has a weight of up to 25 kg, can carry up to 4 kg of amounts and stay in the air from 8 to 16 hours depending on the version. The radius of action is about 100 kilometers and the cruising speed is 70-90 km/h. In addition, the Ukrainian army also uses more operational-tactical AR5.

According to Defense Express observers, AR3 has already flew over 10,000 hours in combat and helped to destroy Russian weapons for billions of dollars. It was also reported that Tekever adapts its systems for real combat experience and since April 2024 has a representative office in Ukraine, where she plans to involve local specialists in research and development. It should be noted that Focus wrote about the active use of AR3 drones for strikes in military facilities in the Russian Federation.

Among other things, in the spring of 2024 the drone attacked the radar "Voronezh-DM" in the Krasnodar region. At that time, Russian militaristic Telegram channels noted that the AR3 was noticed in the occupied part of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions, in the west of Crimea.
