In Russia, a new protection against drones was put on the T-80BVM tank, but it did not work (video)

The drone continued to broadcast the picture on the operator screen, despite the radio electronic fight system. The Russians have shown an updated T-80BVM tank that will be upgraded, given the experience of hostilities in Ukraine. The plot on the modernization of this military equipment was shown on the air of the TV channel of the Ministry of Defense of Russia "Zvezda" on Sunday, September 10.

Russian journalists came to the closed landfill of Omsktransmash, which is engaged in the restoration and modernization of the tanks of this model. The propaganda plot states that the tank has received a new roof on the tower, a new reinforced protection, new cumulative grilles, as well as a new system of protection against drones.

The employees of the TV channel also called the T-80BVM "flying tank" for the speed of movement and assured that he allegedly-the most indispensable of all the tanks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The T-80BVM received a radio electronic communication station in the form of elements that resemble mushrooms that are mounted on the tower. Its purpose is to suppress satellite navigation and drone management channels.

The video even demonstrated this process in practice and put a civilian quadcopter using a response. However, this also had a nuance: a new City was only able to suppress WiFi, but the image from the drone on the UAV operator's screen continued to be transmitted without much problems. The plot also showed a new sight, which was replaced by Pine-U. Military experts believe that it was a new version of 1PN96, which is already installed on the T-80BM and T-72B3 of the 2022 T-72b3.

The technique really received a modernized roof on the tower, also called "barbecue". Omsktransmash does not deny that such changes had to go, seeing the results of hostilities in Ukraine. Obviously, it is said that Ukrainian military often use unmanned aerial vehicles against Russian tanks, which direct directly to the technology tower, as in one of the most vulnerable places. The new protective structure is assembled by triangles of thin metal profile on bolted connections.

The developers claim that such a barbecue will allegedly help to fully protect the tank from Javelin anti -tank missile systems and a portable NLAW anti -tank installation. It should be noted that the latter statement was in question even the journalist of "Zvezdi" Alexei Egorov, who spoke with representatives of the developer. The upgraded T-80BVM version on the tower also now installed a grid with metal elements.

"When a jet grenade or anti -tank rocket falls into this grid, then the quote: metal elements are wrapping the combat part and not allowing it to detonate," - explained to journalists a representative of "Uralvagonozavod". It was installed on a tank tower in a slightly larger number. In addition, additional dynamic protection is now installed in the Russian Federation and on the lower frontal part of the rubber screen.

Representatives of Uralvagonzavoda claim that the universal T-72 tank platform makes it possible to solve a wide range of tasks, including in terms of modernizing such equipment as tank support combat vehicles.
