Croatia handed over more than fifteen howts M-46 to the Cold War to Ukraine

The Soviet guns have 130 mm caliber and are designed to fight artillery and enemy mortars. Croatia has provided to Ukraine at least 15 Soviet tow howls M-46 caliber 130 mm. This is evidenced by Oryx analysts. According to the project, more than 15 Soviet guns were handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in August. The Defense Express portal suggests that Croatian troops have an indefinite number of howts M-46 and M-46H1, which were removed from weapons due to the mismatch of NATO's caliber.

The portal reminds that M-46 production in the Soviet Union took place from 1951 to 1971, so it may seem that Zagreb could hand over newer artillery systems to Ukraine. However, given that Croatia is neighbors with Serbia, in this case, the European state "can not share" more technology.

It is known that the M-46 is intended for the fight against artillery and mortars of the enemy, suppression of its living force and equipment in the areas of concentration, destruction of long-term earth structures and other fortifications of field type, shelling of railway units, command points, communication units. It can also be used to combat heavy tanks and enemy SAUs. The firing range of the corrected projectile reaches 24 km. The technique is equipped with an anti -adhesive shield.
