The salaries of the Armed Forces can increase to 50 thousand: what is known about the new bill

To extend: Ukraine is preparing to have a significant increase in defense expenditures and support for servicemen. The Verkhovna Rada should approve the relevant bill to provide timely payments to the military and financing of the army, and the Ministry of Finance is already preparing the necessary changes in the budget.

Additional financing will be possible after coordinating the use of international assistance and will make it possible to meet the growing needs for monetary security, purchase of weapons and support of families of the country's defenders. Focus found out whether an increase in the Payments of the Armed Forces is possible and how much money the state is ready to allocate to the army.

The Verkhovna Rada should approve an important bill by November 1, which will increase the financing of the security and defense sector. It is an additional UAH 300 billion, which are needed for the state to provide all necessary payments to the military in time. This was reported by the head of the budget committee of Parliament Roksolana Pidlas. According to her, the Ministry of Finance is already working on the document and is planned to be registered in parliament in early October.

"These changes will be possible after the European Commission is finally agreed by the use of 6 billion euros from the Era Loans program for operating military needs," Podlas said. She assured that there would be no delays in payments for the military. If there are temporary gaps in the state budget, the government will block them at the expense of internal government loan bonds (T -bills). The minimum amount of financial support of the military is UAH 20 130.

In addition, in Ukraine, servicemen continue to receive additional "combat" payments, the size of which depends on the place of service and the nature of the tasks performed. These allowances have become a major financial source for many defenders, Armyinform writes.

The highest reward - 100 thousand hryvnias per month - is received by those who are directly involved in the fighting in the leading positions, in areas between the defense forces and the enemy or in the temporarily occupied territory. This category also includes the military who perform tasks for the enemy fire - rocketrs, artillerymen and air defense units. Even if they are not directly on the collision line, their enemy work is credited to obtain the full amount of payments.

50 thousand hryvnias are provided for those who perform combat or special tasks within the military administration, headquarters and commands that carry out operational management of units. Such payments can even be received by those who are outside the areas of active fighting. Servicemen who are engaged in intensive preparation for hostilities, the management of troops or the logistics of existing units receive 30 thousand hryvnias.

The same category includes sappers that are existing outside the fighting zones, as well as units that provide air cover and protection of critical infrastructure. Separately, a supplement of 70 thousand hryvnias for the military, which directly perform tasks on the front or hostile rear, is determined. It does not replace the basic "combat" payments, but is additionally accrued.

At the same time, this reward is valid on a cumulative principle - the funds are paid only after the military has spent 30 days in the war zone, even if this term has been released within a few months. Currently, the Verkhovna Rada is keen on the increase in payments of the Armed Forces. Currently, the deputies have not come to a consensus. Minimum payments to the military can increase to 30-50 thousand UAH.

Now this issue is discussed with international partners, said MP from the Motherland faction Mikhail Tsymbalyuk on the air of the morning. Live. "Until now, partners have not funded military expenditures - it was on the shoulders of the Ukrainian taxpayer, and now they are talking about making an exception and we will come out of a difficult situation," he said. The People's Deputy from the "servant of the people" Bogdan Kitsak in the program "Morning.

Live" commented on the possibility of raising salaries of the military by 10 thousand hryvnias. According to him, it is very difficult to implement such an increase. Kitsak explained that even a minimal increase for about 800 thousand soldiers requires about UAH 100 billion a year.

At the same time, even a complete reduction in inefficient government programs, limiting the costs of telecommunication and reducing the salaries of officials allow to raise at least 20-30 billion UAH, which is clearly not enough for a significant increase. The People's Deputy added that it is possible to speak about raising only after effectively shadowing the economy, the work of the customs and the tax system.

However, he said, for years, these measures have been said, but there is no practical effect from them. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved changes to the state budget for 2025, which provide for a significant increase in defense financing. The total amount of additional financing will be UAH 324. 7 billion, Yulia Sviridenko said. Of this amount, more than UAH 310 billion is referred to the General Fund, of which the Ministry of Defense will receive 301 billion.

Most of the funds are directed to support servicemen and their families, the purchase of weapons and the provision of army. Thus, 202 billion hryvnias are assigned to the military and social payments to the families of defenders and defenders of Ukraine. Another 100 billion plan to spend on the purchase of weapons, especially unmanned aerial vehicles of different types. In addition, another UAH 8.

6 billion will be allocated from the special fund for the defense department for reforming and developing the defense-industrial complex, the purchase of military equipment and equipment. In addition, UAH 1. 4 billion is allocated for logistical support of military units, the Defense Minister Denis Shmigal emphasized. Recall that combatants are entitled to early pension after reaching the age of 55 for men and 50 years for women, provided there are at least 25 years for men and 20 years for women.
