According to the locals, the explosion fired at 21:42, but in the Zarichen district of the city, light disappeared a few minutes earlier, at 21:37. "Previously, the reason is an accident at the substation.

The local edition of "Tulsk Novosti" reported, citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, which the reason for the shutdown of light in Tula was a "technical malfunction". Later in the Telegram-channel of the department stated that work on the restoration of electricity supply of the Zarichen district of Tula was completed.

As a result, several apartments were destroyed and two Ministry of Emergencies were killed. Three of the Ministry of Emergencies were hospitalized.
