To spread: India will continue to buy oil in Russia, despite the warning of US President Donald Trump to impose additional sanctions against New Delhi. In spite of the fact that India threaten additional fines from the United States for the purchase of Russian oil, the country will continue imports, reported on the conditions of anonymity of Reuters two sources in the Indian government.

The sources reported that there would be no immediate changes in trade agreements, as countries have previously concluded long -term contracts. "It's not so easy to stop buying right away," one of them said. Justifying these purchases, the second source stated that it was the import of Russian oil varieties that has helped to avoid a global burst of prices, which still remain stable, despite restraining the Western countries of the Russian oil sector.

Unlike Iranian and Venezuelan oil, Russian oil does not fall under direct sanctions, and India buys it below for the current price limit set by the European Union, - said the source. India, as noted, is the third largest importer and oil consumer in the world, accounting for about 35% of total deliveries. And Russia, in turn, is a leading oil supplier to India. From January to June this year, India imported about 1. 75 million barrels per day of Russian oil, which is 1% more than a year ago.
