833 people took advantage of benefits. Most of them have made a minimum score or adopted at the prestigious universities of the Russian Federation without exams. More than 800 Russians have entered the best universities in Russia by quotas for children of war participants in Ukraine. Most went without exams or passed a single state exam (EDI) for minimal points. This is written in the Russian edition "Important History".

According to the media, since 2022 in Russia there are benefits for children of war participants in Ukraine who join higher education institutions. In 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin expanded this norm, which enabled the participants of the war to enter, in particular at top universities. According to the newspaper, 833 people have taken advantage of privileges this year. 203 of them were enrolled without entrance exams.

Among those who had to prepare the EDI, 429 people would not have passed the competition on a general basis. They passed the exams much lower than the passing score, installed by higher education institutions for budget. One of the entrants who called Dmitry, thanks to the "combat" quota, he joined one of the leading technical universities of the country-the Moscow Physics and Technical Institute (IFTI), as his father participated in the Russian-Ukrainian war and was injured.

Dmitry said that according to the results of EIT, he gained three times less than the passing point on the budget established by the Institute. And at the interview, he could not solve the problems that he gave him. The IFTI management tried to refuse him from the entry, but he disagreed. "I explained to them that since I can come here, I want to here exactly," Dmitry said.
