"Need to protect large agglomerations": Reznikov voiced the needs of the Ukrainian army (video)

According to the Minister of Defense, Ukrainian troops need not only different types of air defense, but also a large number of ammunition and armored equipment. And their supply should occur as soon as possible. The leading priority for the Ukrainian Armed Forces is the intensification of air defense. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexei Reznikov told about it on August 21 at a joint press conference in Odessa with a Bulgarian colleague Todor Tagarev.

According to Reznikov, Ukraine needs powerful installations such as Patriot, Nasams, Iris-T and SAMP-T to the protection systems of critical infrastructure, such as Gepard, Crotale, as well as to portable anti-aircraft missile systems. "The priority has not changed. The number one priority is the air defense. We need to continue to increase the network of protection of the Ukrainian sky. We need to protect large agglomerations: Odessa, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Lviv and further.

Every direction has its difficulties," the minister said. According to Reznikov, Ukraine also needs to increase the stock of shells. He noted that the decision of the Bulgaria Government to join the European Union on the supply of 155 mm artillery ammunition to Ukraine is an important step in this direction. The third critical aspect that the Minister emphasizes is the updating of all categories of armored vehicles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Armored personnel carriers, armored vehicles, tanks, etc. also need armored vehicles to evacuate wounded from the battlefield . . . This is also our need - today, now," - said Reznikov. In addition, the Minister emphasized the importance of versatile training of Ukrainian servicemen. We will remind, on August 22, the Minister of Defense Alexei Reznikov stated that Ukrainians are waiting for a long war with significant losses.
