Biden allowed to send up to 3000 reservists to Europe to restrain the Russian Federation - the media

According to media reports, after the start of a full -scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, the number of US servicemen in Europe has increased. There are now more than 100,000 US military. On Thursday, July 13, the President of the United States of America Joe Biden has authorized Pentagon to send up to 3000 reserve forces to Europe as the war in Ukraine is ongoing. CNN writes about it.

According to the new decree, reservists will be part of the Operation "Atlantic Determination", designed to strengthen NATO and its eastern flank. Atlantic determination is reported as an operation in case of unforeseen circumstances. It provides reservists with the same benefits as current servicemen.

"This new designation benefits military personnel and families due to increased powers, rights and access to the forces and personnel of the reserve," explained Lieutenant General Duglas Sims, director of the United Staff. The Ministry of Defense representative said that it would probably take about six months to send these reservists to Europe because of the need for a previous notice. They will work in the field of logistics, security or health care.

According to journalists, there are more than 100,000 US servicemen in Europe. Their number increased after last year's invasion of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation into Ukraine. However, the US army does not participate in the war because Ukraine is not a member of NATO. Recall that on July 13, US President Joe Biden said he made a decision to accept Finland in NATO in just three seconds. The American leader called it "the fastest ratification in modern history.
