The Russian Federation is preparing for the repetition of shelling of the Ukrainian power system - British intelligence

For blows in the fall and winter 2022-23, the enemy mainly used missiles X-101 (AS-23 Kodiak), which launched strategic aviation from the territory of the Russian Federation. Russia is preparing for repeating massive attacks on the Ukrainian power system. About it reports the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom with reference to its intelligence.

The Russian Federation with the onset of the cold season will cause rocket strokes on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, as in last year, British scouts believe. They recalled that the Russians attacked Ukrainian energy infrastructure between October 2022 and March 2023. For blows, the enemy was mainly used by X-101 missiles (AS-23 Kodiak), which was launched by strategic aviation from the territory of the Russian Federation.

Referring to open source data, British scouts noted that since April 2023, Russia began to spend less winged air base missiles. At the same time, the Russians make efforts aimed at increasing the rate of production of such weapons. "Therefore, Russia is likely to create significant reserves of winged air base missiles. There is a real opportunity that Russia will again focus this weapon against Ukrainian infrastructure objects in winter," the UK Ministry of Defense said.

Most actively, the Russians began to fire the objects of the Ukrainian power system in October. One of the massives was the impact on October 10, 2022. After that, light was switched off in a number of regions due to damage to the appropriate infrastructure. With increasing blows and destruction of electricity problems, they became more serious, but closer to spring the situation has improved.
