The system was developed in Soviet times to close the so -called "dead zones" of the coast. According to the experts, the designers rely on the fire power of the SAU, but did not take care of its protection. In Russia, the creation of the so-called Dniprovsk Fleet, after which information appeared that this compound will be reinforced by the rare 130mm artillery systems A-222 "Berez" from the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.

Defense Express observers have told about what this type of weapon was told. According to the authors of the material, earlier in the context of the Russo-Ukrainian war there was no reference to the A-222 system. The fact is that this coastal artillery complex (tank) is a rare phenomenon even in the ranks of Russian invaders. The A-222 "Behary" is a self-propelled artillery complex that was adopted by the Russian army in 1996.

Work on the creation of weapons was carried out in the 1970s and were conditioned by one important point. The fact is that the Soviet military experts have come to the conclusion that to protect the coast, there is not enough anti -ship missiles, and the closure of "dead zones" requires a barrel artillery with no more than tens of kilometers. The first experimental complex "The coast" managed to build only in 1988. It was soon sent to Crimea to pass tests at the landfills of the Black Sea Fleet.

According to Russian sources, up to 6 complexes A-222, the total number of artillery systems in their composition-36 units, and all of which are concentrated in the Black Sea Fleet. The Division of the Bank "Berehore" is a six self -propelled artillery installations of a caliber 130 mm, a central post and one or two machines for ensuring combat duty. All elements are built on the MAZ-543m wheel chassis. Central post crew - 7 people.

A-222 is equipped with its own radar and optical-location station to detect surface objects of different sizes at a distance of about 35 km. After detecting the goals, the data is transmitted by the SAU by radio channel in manual or automatic modes. The installation itself has a combat compartment in the form of a large -sized rotary tower with a rotation within 120 ° to the right and to the left of the longitudinal axis.

The "shore" is equipped with a 130-mm gun, created on the basis of the AK-103 ship gun, while it used some solutions of the land of land 2C19 "MSTA-C". A fugas F-44 projectile and anti-aircraft CC-44 weighing more than 33 kg are used as ammunition. The ammunition of the complex is 40 shots. Shooting range up to 23 km, frequency - up to 10 shots per minute. In conclusion, the observers evaluated the capabilities of A-222.
