Citizens of India become victims of forced service in the army of the Russian Federation and die in the war in Ukraine - WP

About 100 Indians were lured to Russia by proposals for work or education, but eventually they were forcibly mobilized to the army. This month was about the 10th citizen of India who died in the war. The death of a 32-year-old Indian electrician Binila Baba, published in the Russian army, again attracted attention to the involvement of foreigners in Moscow in war in the war in Ukraine. This question raises tension in relations between India and Russia, despite their economic and military union.

About it writes The Washington Post. According to the Government of India, nearly 100 citizens of the country became victims of fraudulent schemes that promised them work or education in Russia. Instead, they were in the war. Baba, a 32-year-old inhabitant of Southern Karala, has become at least a tenth Indian who died in the war in Ukraine. In response, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India called on Russia to release other Indians who are still in the ranks of its army.

The Russian side denies its involvement in the forced mobilization of Indian citizens. "The Russian government has never participated in any public or incomprehensible campaigns, and even more so in fraudulent schemes for the recruitment of India citizens for military service in Russia," the Russian Embassy of Russia in New Della dated August 10.

However, Indian officials report that their country's citizens are forcing them to sign documents that they do not understand, take their passports and send to the front with minimal preparation. Relatives of the victims accuse international networks of agents and social media influenzers who promise high salaries for low -skilled work in Russia. Some Indian students also got into this trap, joining the doubtful private universities in the Russian Federation.
