His mother, wife and two children - a five-year-old son and an eight-month-old daughter - were in the apartment. Fortunately, the timely activation of the alarm allowed all family members to evacuate, avoiding injury and danger to life. Serhii Vlasenko is the head of the fire station with over 15 years of experience. During this time, he participated in numerous firefighting and rescue operations in extremely difficult conditions, risking his own life to help others.
That night, being at the scene and seeing that his own apartment was engulfed in fire, Serhii did not stay away. He continued to put out the flames, dismantle collapsed structures and check rooms to make sure no one was trapped. They lost their home, but were not left without support: the rescuer and his family have already received the keys to the official residence. This step demonstrates the systemic responsibility of the state to those who risk their lives every day to save others.

Subsequently, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, noted that on the night of November 14, the Russian occupiers carried out a massive attack with drones and missiles on Ukraine, as a result of which four people were killed and dozens were injured.
