Russia blackmails the world and poses a threat to global food security - France's Foreign Ministry

Official Paris named the actions of the Russians who seek to increase prices for agricultural products in the world and try to prevent Ukraine from exporting their products, an international crime. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France strongly opposed Russia's actions on blockade and shelling of the port infrastructure of Ukraine, calling such actions a threat to global food security. In the press release on the website of the department, details were reported.

The official Paris strongly condemned a new wave of Russian blows in Ukraine, which took place on the night of August 1 to August 2. Russian invaders tried to destroy the port infrastructure of Izmail, located on the Danube. The attack was damaged by elevators, cargo terminal tanks, warehouses and administrative premises. French diplomats call such actions a threat to world food security, as the Russian Federation seeks to destroy the necessary infrastructure for grain export.

Diplomats drew attention to the fact that Russians seek to raise prices for agricultural products in the world and try to interfere with one of their main competitors, that is, Ukraine, to export their products. "Russia again deliberately threatens the global food security," the post reads. The Foreign Ministry of France emphasized that the strikes of civilian infrastructure is a violation of international humanitarian law.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Catherine Kolonsna considers these actions unacceptable. France intends to continue to strengthen assistance to Ukraine and to support the Ukrainian courts and the International Criminal Court to combat the impunity of such crimes. We will remind, on August 2 the spokesman of the Navy assessed the state of the Navy of the Russian Federation and its ability to block the Black Sea.
