NV has collected the main thing that these local successes of the Armed Forces in the Kharkiv region and their importance. On August 4, the deputy chief of the Main Operational Office of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces Alexei Gromov first confirmed that the armed forces of Ukraine managed to liberate the villages of Mazanivka on the border of Donetsk and Kharkiv regions, as well as near the village of Dmitrovka (Izium district of Kharkiv region).

"The Defense Forces of Ukraine have advanced into the enemy's defense and became entrenched in the liberated territories," Gromov said about the latest achievements of the Armed Forces in the Kharkiv region. Later, the chairman of the Kharkiv Ova Oleg Synigubov said that during the dismissal of Dmitry, the Ukrainian military managed to eliminate many equipment and infantry of the enemy. “Currently, the Armed Forces are occupied by profitable borders and strengthen their own positions.

Details - later, ”Synigubov added. And in the morning of August 5, the fighters of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade Cold Yar reported that they displaced the invaders from the village of Dibrivna under Izium-another settlement in the same area of Kharkiv region. “The brigade pushed the enemy for the village of Dibrivna and moved the front line. Cut off from supply, the invaders were running away, throwing equipment.

However, before leaving, the village was abundantly replaced by anti -personnel and anti -tank mines, ”the brigade's official Facebook page said. In a published video, an officer of the 93rd brigade named Alexander said that a lot of enemy forces were stationed in the village of Dibrivna: several mouths of Russian military and up to two or three dozen armored vehicles (BMPs, tanks, etc. ). However, the Ukrainian military managed to cut ways to supply the enemy and make them retreat.

“How did you release? But they squeezed simply, - said Alexander. - They no longer left the ways of bringing, all logistics is broken. People - those creatures that were there - they realized that they were blocked by oxygen in the village, they have nothing to bring in a provision, ammunition, the evacuation of the wounded is difficult, and they "retreated heroically".

The 93rd brigade also captured the consequences of hostilities-broken dwellings in the village and the occupants thrown by the occupiers. At the same time, the chairman of the Kharkiv Ova also confirmed that the military of the Armed Forces "have other successes in Kharkiv region", while the attempts of the enemy to break through the defense in the Izium district (in particular near Husarivka) remain in vain "their [Russian] offensive ended with another full fiasco.

The enemy retreated with losses, ”Sinegubov told August 5. International military reviewers and analysts have been watching the Armed Forces in Kharkiv region for some time. The Conflict Intelligence Team researcher, Cyril Mikhailov in an interview with Radio NV, drew attention to the successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Izium direction at the end of July.

“As we see from the General Staff message, a limited Ukrainian offensive, which takes place in the south of Izium, has already achieved some success. Russian attacks, if you read the erection of the Armed Forces General Staff, occur in those territories that are painted red on most cards, allegedly occupied, ”Mikhailov said on July 28.

According to the CIT analyst, at that time, it could be concluded that Ukrainian troops in the direction of the occupied Izium had advanced several kilometers to the north. Mikhailov recalled that earlier in Conflict Intelligence Team it was believed that in the Izium direction, the army of the Russian Federation would have an offensive, but now the concentrations of Russian equipment there are obviously not enough even to successfully restrain Ukrainian offensive actions.

“We see a lot of videos where they [the Armed Forces] destroy the enemy equipment, capture it, even capture flags and documents. The problems of Russian troops in this direction are obvious, ”Mikhailov NV said on August 2. Instead, analysts in the American Institute for War Study (ISW) in their summary on August 4 explained why even a slow but steady offensive of the Armed Forces in the Izium direction could be decisive for the wider events of the war.

According to them, at the current stage of the war, Ukraine managed to force the occupiers not only to change plans, but also to transfer equipment and forces from recently priority areas.

In particular, due to the onset of the Armed Forces in the south of Ukraine, the occupiers are increasingly transferring personnel and equipment to the Kherson and western part of the Zaporozhye region - at the cost of their attempts to capture Slavyansk and Siversk, from which they seem to be abandoned, in ISW.

Thus, Ukraine is actually intercepting a strategic initiative in the war with Russia and has a chance to actively form the course of war for the first time, the authors of the review emphasize. Now the severity of the dilemma, which is facing the Russian command, is probably depends on the ability of Ukraine to carry out large -scale smuggling operations at the same time in several directions, add ISW analysts.

If Ukraine is able to exert serious pressure on the positions of the invaders in the Izium district, continuing the transition to a counter -offensive near Kherson, then Russian troops will face a very difficult choice. “They will probably have to either abandon their position in the West of Izium in favor of protecting their lines of land communications north and east, or allocate more personnel and equipment to try to keep the current front line.
