The material states that Orban, considered one of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the EU, states that sanctions against the Russian Federation have been ineffective on pressure on Russia in order to end the war. He is convinced that they have caused harm to the European economy than Russia.
"If it depended on us, there would be no sanction policy," said the Prime Minister of Hungary. He also added that he would not support any additional sanctions against Russia in the future, but will not stand in the way of their adoption of the EU. "It is not in our interests to divide the European and Russian economies into two parts forever, so we try to save what we can save from our economic cooperation with the Russians," he said.
The publication writes that Hungary is now fighting with one of the highest levels of inflation in Europe and fluctuating currency, which has caused a rapid increase in prices. In November, inflation exceeded 22%, and the national currency has fallen by almost 10% to the euro since the beginning of the year.
