Tomahawk under the supervision of the United States: why it will be difficult to integrate starting installations - an analyst

The decision of the White House Head is a sharp change in the state's foreign policy and is able to change the operational balance of forces in the European region, writes Army Recognition Alen Serve. The material states that the transmission of Tomahawki is likely to take place in a joint command, for which each launch operation will remain under the supervision of the United States. This model provides allies access to long -range weapons without losing US control process.

It is noteworthy that at the request of Army Recognition in the Pentagon noted that US and NATO planners are preparing for the integration of starting platforms and procedures for coordination of fire. Allegedly work on the organization of training of Ukrainian calculations in the framework of joint tests and final certification. The deployment of Tomahawk's winged missiles in Ukraine will allow the Armed Forces to strike Russian bridgeheads, air basements and management points deep in the rear.

However, in practice, the integration of the starting systems will be the key task, since the missiles are intended for MK 41 vertical installations and marine platforms - the destroyers of the ARleigh Burke class and Ticonderoga cruisers. Under Ukrainian conditions, the use of ship installations is impossible, so the United States prepares adaptation to mobile ground launch complexes created on the basis of maritime technology.

Previously, a similar principle was used in the MRC (MID-Range Capability) Army, which uses the elements of the Typhon missile system with cells to launch missiles from sushi. It is expected that a hybrid land version, controlled through the American target system, will be created for Ukraine.

Thus, the deployment of Tomahawkiv at the Ukrainian Theater will open the possibility of spot blows on the air tabas, objects of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation in Crimea and key supply routes in the occupied areas. "With the placement of these missiles in Ukraine, Russia will have to act in conditions where the distance no longer guarantees safety. This change can lead to tactical retreats and expensive relocation of critically important military infrastructure," - summed up Serve.
