Germany called on partners to find air defense systems for immediate transmission to Ukraine

Following the strike on Chernihiv, the Federal Government decided to launch the initiative to urgently strengthen Ukraine's air defense. German Foreign Minister Annalen Berb and Defense Minister Boris Pistorius contacted NATO and European Union partners, as well as third countries with the initiative-lounge as soon as possible to strengthen Ukraine's air defense after a terrible Russian rocket strike. About it writes Tagesschau.

The "Air Defense" Immediate Defense Initiative is aimed at providing even greater support in the field of air defense as soon as possible. "We need to take a serious look at whether there are other available systems that can be provided quickly to Ukraine," - quotes the publication of the Foreign Ministry of Germany, who stressed that "immediate deliveries" are already needed.

We will remind, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that if Ukraine had enough air defense, what happened in Chernihiv on April 17, it would simply not happen. They also responded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, noting that Russia would not be able to arrange a deadly rocket strike on Chernihiv on April 17, if Ukraine received the necessary air defense means to protect its sky.
