The officer said this in a comment to "PRO:UA" published on October 31. "And it's all such a vinaigrette. And each brigade commander controls his three, four, five battalions there, plus five or six other battalions, there is a TRO, you understand? And all this vinaigrette must be removed, there must be a clear management system. Then it will work, then there will be interaction, then there will be no friendly fire," he emphasized.
Kupol assured that it does not require expenses, except for fuel for the movement of forces. According to him, gradually the situation can be corrected along the entire front line. "Then there will be a common sense of management and cooperation. And the conduct of hostilities will be much more effective.
All attached battalions will be returned to their brigades, corps headquarters will be set up, as well as brigade headquarters, everyone will manage their own set of troops," the colonel explained. In his opinion, in the event of a problem on a specific section, there is no need to direct someone else's battalion. Instead, it is better to roll over the entire brigade, and halve the lane of the other brigade, dividing the area between them in this way.
Kupol is convinced that such an approach would increase the effectiveness of the Defense Forces. "But, by the way, language is important. (…) There was such a case that they spoke in Russian and there was friendly fire. They injured each other because they spoke in Russian, and there was a reaction to this," he noted. The officer said that he learned about it from an acquaintance of the battalion commander, but refused to reveal the unit and direction.
According to him, the commander asked the fighters why they opened fire. They explained that they heard the Russian language. We will remind, the head of the Assault Troops Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valentin Manko, got into a scandal because he "lit up" maps with markings on TikTok. The Armed Forces answered whether he could really reveal secret information to the enemy.
