Russia wants to destroy Ukrainians and undermine the world order - Irina Wise during the hearings of the ECtHR on violations of the Russian Federation of Human Rights in the occupied territories

The deputy head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Irina Wise in Strasbourg presented a Ukrainian delegation at oral hearings on the essence in the interstate case "Ukraine and the Netherlands against Russia" in the European Court of Human Rights. The lawsuit applies to human rights violations since the beginning of armed aggression, since 2014. Irina Wise stressed that the aggressive and barbaric behavior of the Russian Federation violates all the basic principles of international law.

The Government of Ukraine demonstrated it with evidence during the proceedings in this interstate case. “Numerous international observers and ECtHR have evaluated such actions and emphasized the unwillingness of the Russian authorities to record such mass and systematic human rights violations.

The Russian goal of this war has been repeatedly stated by the Russian authorities and is obvious from its model of behavior - Russia wants to destroy and assimilate Ukrainians, destroy the public order of Europe and undermine the world order, ” - said the deputy head of the Presidential Office. According to the results of oral hearings, the government of our country expects that the ECtHR recognizes the existence of human rights violations by Russia and will move to the stage of just satices.

The delegation of Ukraine was also presented at the hearing of the ECtHR ACCHRT SOVORENKO and representatives of the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Human Court of Human Rights of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. Also in this case, twenty -six states are represented as third parties. This number, as well as the number of complaints and the scale of the claim, are unprecedented in the history of the ECtHR category of interstate cases.
