The government of Germany reported, Spiegel reports. The German authorities also stated that the training of Ukrainian crews in Germany should begin as soon as possible. The tanks themselves have to come to Ukraine by the end of March. In addition to training, Germany will provide logistics, ammunition and systems maintenance. Berlin will also issue permission to countries who want to put Leopard tanks in Ukraine.
According to journalists, Germany, Finland, Spain and the Netherlands will transmit Leopard 2A6 tanks and create a battalion from them. Poland and Norway will collect the second battalion from Leopard A4. In addition, the publication says that the United States will transfer 30 M1 Abrams to Kiev and create a third battalion of the Armed Forces. However, it has not been officially announced.
