In Ukraine, the work Themis was armed with a grenade launcher "Storm": how to destroy the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (video)

To spread: In Ukraine, engineers have armed the ground drone themis from the Estonian manufacturer Milrem Robotics with a grenade launcher "Storm" from Frontline. The new complex can move the battlefield and fire on the enemy while the operator is in a safer place. Viceremier-Minister of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov told about it on his Facebook page, sharing the video. Frontline is a Ukrainian company that is a participant in the Brave1 defense innovation cluster.

Now her Turel under the automatic grenade launcher of the MK-19 "Storm" and the tracked platform Themis work as a single combat system. According to Mikhail Fedorov, she has already been tested in Ukraine, and additional tests are expected in the coming days. The developers are going to improve the structure and check its reliability in different conditions of application. The military will then be able to use the system to perform specific tasks on the battlefield.

"Ukraine's protection directly affects Europe's security. We intensify interaction with partners and create products for a modern technological war," Vicereremier commented. Frontline was introduced in 2024, and in January 2025 launched its mass production in 2024. Together with weapons, it weighs 47 kg. The operator can remotely control the Turel and fire at a distance of 100 m, using a tablet or laptop, automatic targeting is carried out using UAVs in the air and nettle.

To make a shot, it is enough for the operator to specify the point on the map or enter the coordinates of the target. Thanks to the built -in stabilization system, it is possible to conduct sighting while driving up to 1800 meters. In this case, the Turel can memorize the settings and quickly change the sight for one purpose to another, providing accurate damage within 20-30 meters. "The work should reduce the risk of personnel on the front line.

Turel" Storm "is about grenade launchers who will now be able to work with shelters. Or remotely, moving the Turel from the tripod to the NRC," - said Frontline representatives on their X (former Twitter). Milrem Robotics first handed Ukraine to Ukraineis in 2022, originally used to transport goods, evacuate the wounded, demining and clearing roads. It is also known that machine guns and other small arms were installed on the platform.
