Won the supplies of weapons to Ukraine: spies that worked in the Russian Federation were found in Poland - WP

According to journalists, citizens of Ukraine were detained. They were found with the help of Russian-speaking Telegram channels where refugees seek housing or work. The Russian Federation in Poland has been gunning agents via the Internet to track the weapons transit. Their plan was revealed. This is stated in the material of the American newspaper The Washington Post dated August 18. According to journalists, it was about recruiting unprofessional agents, including citizens of Ukraine.

They had to explore the situation in Polish seaports, place hidden cameras along the railway, and, if possible, hide devices for tracking in military goods. In March, the decree came to the skewers of trains that took weapons to Ukraine. The amateur team was assembled using posts in Telegram channels whose audience was Russian-speaking. In particular, they placed work and housing offers there, so resources were popular with Ukrainian refugees.

The journalists of The Washington Post claim that the first detained in this case: 12 Ukrainians, 3 Belarusians and 1 Russian. The Ukrainians immediately stated that their main motivation was the money they offered for the task.

"The Polish authorities now believes that the mysterious customer was the Russian Agency for Military Intelligence of the GRU, and that a broken operation was the most serious Russian threat in NATO territory since Moscow began its invasion of Ukraine last year," the message reads. According to some reports, the Russians also promised to pay funds for postcards with the following content: "Poland ≠ Ukraine" and "NATO, go home. " The cost of such a task was estimated to be up to $ 12.

It was a kind of check on whether agents were ready to perform the task, and at the same time an attempt to destabilize the situation with refugees in Poland. After that, more serious tasks came. Some have also been instructed to buy disposable phones and cameras for reporting. They paid them in cryptocurrency and bank transfers that cannot be tracked. Polish intelligence services found most of the cameras that were installed by "spies". They transferred the frames to a special server.

The investigator also noted that this threat has been eliminated, but the country can still operate agents recruited by the Russian Federation. They will have to try to correct the mistakes made. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation did not respond to the request of journalists about comment. We will remind, on August 15 it was reported that in Britain detained the citizens of Bulgaria who were spying on Russia.
