Themis robots were armed with combat drones: why they need Ukraine (video)

Now the platform can not only carry cargo, but also attack the enemy with drones thanks to a special starting unit. The Estonian company Milrem Robotics has introduced the DSEI 2023 military exhibition in London an updated version of the lanes unmanned themis Combat, which is used in Ukraine, equipped with the means of launching drones-Kamikadze Hunter 2-S. About it reports Zawya. In the renewed design, themis is able to run the drones of Kamikadze Halcon Hunter 2-S.

These are autonomous drones equipped with advanced artificial intelligence to perform coordinated tasks in a pack. They are able to follow the flight plan, coordinate their actions with other drones and recognize hostile goals for destruction. Hunter 2-S has a payload of 2 kg, cruising height of 500 m, cruising speed 90 km/h and margin of 45 minutes. Themis robotic platform moves at a speed of 20 km/h and can carry a load of weighing more than 1. 2 tons.

The machine has a hybrid engine, which is provided with autonomy for 15 hours or 1. 5 hours in the battery feeding. The platform is equipped with various sensors, including infrared (MIL-STD-810G) and thermal imaging. The options for using the platform are very wide: from the evacuation of the wounded and the delivery of ammunition to the installation of various combat modules on it.

"Themis basic version is intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and our new machine is intended for hostilities," said Defense News, Gerk Hankevittz, Marketing and Export Control Director Milrem Robotics. - War in Ukraine is a cause of growing interest in , and this is our answer to the growing demand for such decisions.

" He added that themis works are not only supplied to Ukraine, they are also purchased by the armies of Australia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
