Civil servants from India and China related to the preparation of the G20 Summit in New Delhi, said the agency that China would probably be represented in this event by Prime Minister Lee Tsiang instead of the head of state Xi Jinping. Two foreign diplomats in China, as well as a civil servant from another G20 country, have also confirmed that Si Jinping is probably not present at the event. The reason for this cancellation remains unknown.
It was planned that negotiations between the heads of the United States and China would be held during the summit, which was planned to discuss the resolution of contradictions between the two countries. US President Joe Biden has confirmed his participation in this summit. The last personal communication between him and Xi Jinping took place in the G20 summit fields in November 2022, which took place on Bali Island.
