Buying a car is not a critical need: the head of the Ministry of Finance commented on a military fee on a car

Sergey Marchenko believes that the purchase of a car during the fighting is not critical, but if a citizen still buys a car, then it is necessary to further support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Finance Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko does not consider the introduction of 15% of military levy during the first registration of the car. According to him, buying a car is not an urgent need.

He stated this in an interview with "RBC-Ukraine" "Rising prices for? Auto? Apartments? How much is this urgent need? The Ministry of Finance Head also stressed that cars for the security and defense sector were imported without VAT and duties.

The Minister of Finance is acquainted with the criticism of military gathering from car dealers who fear that its introduction will lead to shadowing the car market. He acknowledges that it is partially possible, but then there will be questions to law enforcement agencies that should fight the shadow market.
