The probability of "zero": Will Putin stop war in Ukraine through Trump's sanctions - Reuters

To spread: the likelihood that Russian President Vladimir Putin will agree to cease fire in Ukraine because of US threats to impose duties and sanctions close to zero. If India and China stop buying oil in Russia, it will strike a serious blow to its economy and military efforts. But this scenario will not come true, the former Analyst of American Intelligence on Russia, Judzhin Rumer, who heads the program on Russia and Eurasia at the Carnegie Foundation for International Peace, told Reuters.

"Theoretically, if you stop the purchase of oil by India and China, it will strike a serious blow to the Russian economy. But the Chinese made it clear that they would continue to buy Russian oil. The likelihood of such a scenario is close to zero," he said. The White House and Embassy of Russia in Washington did not respond to the Agency's request to comment on this information. Reuters reminds that today, August 8, the deadline for Russia comes to agree to establish peace in Ukraine.
