As a result of the rocket strike of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, at least 11 people were killed on Chernihiv on April 17, and another 22 were injured. According to the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Alexei Kuleba, more than 50 people were injured in Chernihiv.

For his part, the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, reported that the impact was damaged by the civilian infrastructure building and dozens of transport units. The official noted that the search and rescue operation in compliance with all safety measures, since earlier the enemy has repeatedly struck repeated blows during the elimination of consequences.

The National Police of Ukraine added that the hospital and several residential buildings were damaged in Chernihiv. "Police and rescuers provide all the necessary assistance to the victims, and psychologists also work with the victims," ​​the message reads.
