Ukraine has imposed sanctions against 60 legal entities and 73 individuals involved in bypassing the sanctions by the Russian Federation and financing the Russian MIC

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree on the use of a new sanction package against persons involved in bypassing international sanctions and financing the Russian military-industrial complex, in particular through cryptocurrency schemes. The sanctions have been imposed on the submission of the National Bank of Ukraine. They are the initiative of Ukraine and at the same time synchronized with the sanctions packages of partners.

The sanction list includes 60 legal entities, including the largest Russian cryptocurrencies, operators of information systems that produce digital financial assets, financial intermediaries, and cryptocurrencies that provide access to Russian users to convert currencies and bypass restrictions. 55 of these companies are registered in the Russian Federation, three in the UAE and one in Kazakhstan and Cyprus.

Among them, in particular, the platform operator for cross-border calculations, which was jointly created by the Podancial Russian Bank and the Moldovan oligarch-fugitive, developer of the non-banking international platform, as well as other persons involved in the creation and development of mechanisms of bypassing sanction restrictions by means of cryptocurrencies.

“Only one company, which is now on the sanction list, and only from the beginning of this year, that is, to sanctions, did the Russians spend several billion dollars, and mostly it is for the needs of their military industry. Of course, we will stop all the schemes, ”the President emphasized in his address. Also, 73 individuals were sanctioned, all - citizens of Russia, who are the heads and owners of sub -structures, and officials of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
