After meeting with Putin Orban wrote a secret letter to EU leaders: the media learned its contents

According to Orban, Putin did not answer the direct question about how he treats the "Peace Plan of Zelensky". At the same time, the Russian President still considers Istanbul arrangements relevant of 2022. After Victor Orban Prime Minister met with President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin, he sent a non-public letter to the leaders of the European Union, which revealed some details of these conversations.

This was reported by the Russian investigative project "System". The letter himself dated July 5 and was sent from Azerbaijan, where Victor Orban went immediately after meeting with Vladimir Putin. In this letter, Orban states that he did not speak on behalf of the EU while traveling to Ukraine and the Russian Federation, but only wanted to find out the positions of the parties who are fighting.

The Prime Minister of Hungary wrote to the EU leaders that the Russian authorities are convinced that "time is not on the side of Ukraine, but on the side of the Russian forces. " In a conversation with the Hungarian Prime Minister, Putin did not mention Russian losses at the front, but he talked a lot about his calculations of Ukrainian losses: they seem to be 40-50 thousand dead a month. "The President of Russia was surprised that the President of Ukraine rejected the temporary ceasefire.

According to the President of Russia, they are ready to consider any proposal to cease the fire, which will not serve the hidden redeployment and regrouping of the Ukrainian forces," Brusy wrote. Hungarian Prime Minister noted that both Moscow and Kiev are ready for peace talks only with the participation of both parties. According to Orban, Putin did not answer the direct question of how he treats the "Peace Plan of Zelensky" and the Peace summit, which took place on June 15-16 in Switzerland.

Instead, the President of the Russian Federation stated that he still considers "Istanbul arrangements" of 2022. In a letter, Orban stressed that Europe should take its own initiative, since in the United States all are too busy with an election campaign. "If we cannot restrain or stop this process, then in the next two months we will witness more dramatic losses and military events on the forefront than ever before," Orban emphasized.
