Journalists also asked Donald Trump his opinion on how the issue of Ukrainian Donbas should be handled on the way to resolving the war. He explained that he considers it necessary to leave "everything as it is". "Let it remain as it is. Now it is already divided. I think that Russia already controls 78% of the territory (Donbas - ed. ).
Leave everything as it is now. They can agree on something later," said the US president. It is worth noting that on October 19, the FT reported that Donald Trump, at a meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyi, urged him to agree to Vladimir Putin's terms, as he could "destroy" Ukraine.
