According to Russian journalists, on April 6, the mobilized Yuri Maltsevsky went out of order and went away from his comrades after receiving the order from the commander to go to Ukraine. He was accused of failure to comply with the commander's order during the fighting, and in court he pleaded guilty. He was appointed two years in the colony.
Ivan Kashin, a contractor who has been in service in the army since 2018 and participated in an armed invasion of Ukraine, also became a defendant in the trial. On February 21, during the formation of personnel, he declared his intention not to go to the front, to which several other soldiers responded, although the exact number of the latter was not specified.
In court, Ivan Kashin pleaded guilty, however, referring to Article 51 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, which gives the right not to testify against himself, he refused to testify. The garrison court sentenced him to two years and three months in the colony.
