The first case: the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck a solar power plant in the rear - Ukrenergo

According to the head of the energy company Vladimir Kudrytsky, due to warming the total consumption of electricity falls, so Russian attacks have not led to a shortage in the power system. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for the first time struck the object of renewable energy in Ukraine. The chairman of the board of NEC "Ukrenergo" Vladimir Kudrytsky said this during a press conference, Ukrinform reports on April 4.

Kudrytsky reported that Russian invaders attacked a solar power plant (SES). "This is the first, at least in my memory, the case of a deliberate attack on the renewable energy object," the head of the energy company said. Kudrytsky stressed that this blow was not inflicted in the war zone. According to him, it is about attack on a solar power plant in the Ukrainian rear.

Ukrenergo also noted that, despite Russian attacks, there is no acute deficit in the power system, since due to warming the overall consumption of electricity falls, and the generation of electricity on the SES is increasing. We will remind, according to DTEK's information of April 3, due to Russian blows on infrastructure, 80% of the company's generating capacity was lost - 5 out of 6 thermal power plants were seriously damaged.
