Pressure on Russia for the sake of peace and cooperation within the coalition of those who want: President of Ukraine met with Sweden Prime Minister Ulph Christianson

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Sweden Prime Minister Ulf Christerson to discuss negotiations in Istanbul and coordinate the next steps. The Head of State thanked for a joint statement by Northern Europe and the Baltic States to support the complete, unconditional cease ceasefire for at least 30 days and direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia at the highest level.

Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized his willingness to negotiate with Vladimir Putin, as evidenced by the visit of the President of Ukraine to Turkey yesterday. Despite the low level of the Russian delegation, Ukraine has sent its team to participate in negotiations. The head of state informed about the meeting in Istanbul and his own with the leaders of France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Poland, a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump.
