In Zaporizhzhia, the President held a security meeting with the military command: operational situation, air defense and fortifications

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a security meeting with the military command during a working trip to the Zaporizhzhia region. T. v. at. the commander of the 17th Army Corps, Yaroslav Sydorov, reported on the operational situation in the South, on the tasks of the brigades and regiments that are part of the corps, as well as on military and personnel measures to stabilize the situation in the Rivnopil region.

Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported on the strengthening of the Stepnohorsk direction by engineering measures and on the evacuation of civilians from certain areas. A separate topic of the meeting is the organization of anti-aircraft defense of roads, logistics and critical infrastructure of Zaporizhzhia.

Ivan Fedorov informed about the use of EW means, air defense systems and interceptor drones to repel attacks by Russian missiles and drones, in particular FPV. Mykhailo Sydorenko, commander of the operational command "South" of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported on the operational situation in the Pokrovsky district. The President also met with the soldiers of the 17th Army Corps, thanked them for their service and defense of Ukraine and awarded them with state awards.

"Undoubtedly, the east of Ukraine is a big challenge. And it was always hot here, in the Orihiv direction. I want to thank you, your comrades, all soldiers, officers, sergeants for protecting this direction - our towns, the Zaporizhzhia region, the city of Zaporizhzhia, which is very important. Thank you that it has life thanks to your protection. Zaporozhye is an important city. The enemy certainly wants him, we must certainly protect him," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
