Cost without Ukraine: Fitzo and Putin agreed on gas supply (video)

The fuel will go through Hungary and the Turkish Stream. Fitzo told about arrangements with Moscow and Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as the Great Wirefedness of the EU and Ukraine in the video on Facebook page. Fitzo stated that during his last visit to Moscow he agreed with the Russian Federation on gas supplies. According to Slovak Prime Minister, his goal is to obtain fuel at least for household consumers, and he has achieved it.

The politician did not tell the details of cooperation: in particular, it is not known what volume is about and at what price. "There was a reason I went to Moscow - to obtain gas at least for internal consumption of Slovakia so that we could provide it even without increasing gas prices. I wanted to get a response from a Russian partner, whether the Russian Federation is ready to continue supplying gas for transit through Ukraine and Slovakia Further to the west.

In his speech, the politician complained loudly about the European Union that supports Ukraine. According to him, through Ukrainians Slovakia lost 1. 5 billion euros due to the increase in gas price and another 500 million euros, which Bratislava received for the transit of Russian gas in the EU. Fitzo also stated that Kiev is guilty that the EU would lose another 70 billion. Meanwhile, Reuters provided information from the Slovak Eustream gas transmission system operator.

The company stated that the fuel will not come through Ukraine, but through a branch of a gas pipeline from Hungary - through Turkish Stream. It should be noted that on the map of Europe, published on the ENTSOG portal, it can be seen that Slovakia really has the opportunity to receive gas not only through Ukraine. It should be noted that Slovakia received gas of the Russian Federation, which went through a pipeline through Ukraine.

On December 31, 2024, gas transportation ceased: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed this. The politician stressed that thanks to such actions, Moscow will receive less money for war. Meanwhile, the head of Slovakia Robert Fitzo opposed it and stated that Ukraine had no right to stop gas supply and abandon new transit agreements. Therefore, Fitzo flew to Russia and had a personal meeting with Vladimir Zelensky.

As a result of communication, there were no official speeches by the leaders of both countries who would say that they had agreed on something. After his trip to the Russian Federation, the President of Slovakia disappeared for some time, but posted a video with complaints of Ukraine. Subsequently, journalists found out that the video was recorded at the Vietnamese Hotel, in which the room costs thousands of dollars a day.
