Ukrainians block bank accounts during the war: how to return the arrested funds

According to lawyer Anastasia Shakhovets, the existence of unfulfilled debt by court decisions is a legal basis for blocking clients' accounts. The State Enforcement Service is performed by the State Enforcement Service on the basis of the decision of the courts and other bodies, in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine. This implies, for example, the arrest of bank accounts, and this process occurs even during the war.

Lawyer Anastasia Shakhovets told about it that the executive services are arresting the bank accounts of debtors in accordance with the legislation, since such a right is regulated by the Law "On Enforcement Proceedings". That is, if the debtor ignored the court's decision, then the executive service blocks the person's funds in the bank's accounts to repay the debts.

Therefore, according to Anastasia Shakhovets, the presence of unfulfilled debt by court decisions is a legal basis for blocking clients' accounts. At the same time, Ukrainians may block the bank accounts of Ukrainians: "These grounds for blocking accounts are provided by the current legislation, and banking institutions must be observed. But it is important to ensure the transparency of the blocking and protection of the legal rights of clients," Shakhovets said.
