The former serviceman of the Aydar Battalion Denis Murig was convicted by the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don up to 16 years in prison. This was reported by Radio Liberty.

Denis Murig was found guilty of "training for terrorist activity and participation in illegal armed formation". The military tribunal was judged as a citizen of the Russian Federation, but Denis Muriga is a resident of Lugansk region, originally from Crimea. According to the investigation, in early 2015, Denis Muriga probably joined the Aydar battalion and was trained there.

It is worth noting that the Aydar Battalion is not included in the lists of prohibited organizations of the anti -terrorist committee and Rosphinmation, unlike the Azov battalion.
