On January 25, 2022 he was appointed to an artillery platoon. The soldier was contracting. On March 5 of that year, he "disappeared" from the location of units in the Pologovsky district of Zaporizhzhya region. He was unknown where until May 29, 2024, when he voluntarily appeared in the Military Law Enforcement Service (formation of the Armed Forces). In court, the "contractor" fully pleaded guilty. He said that since December 2021 he served and then signed a contract with the Armed Forces.
After the start of the full -scale war, the soldier was thrown into the war zone, and then he "was frightened for his life. " The Ukrainian confirmed that he fled from the location of the military unit. However, in more than two years he lost his desire to continue to be hidden, so he gave up. The serviceman repented and expressed regret about his act. He assured that he was ready to serve.
The court qualified the escape of the soldier as desertion, that is, the unauthorized leaving the place of service in order to evade it. The man was found guilty and sentenced to five years in prison.
