Detained on the border: exvasurist Medvedev, who fled to Norway, tried to return to the Russian Federation

According to police, the detained man really went towards Russia when he was detained by local law enforcement. A few hours before, Andrei Medvedev told about his plans to journalists. The exnemotor from Wagner PEC Andriy Wagner, who fled from Russia to Norway, wanted to go back to his homeland, but was detained. About it reports Barents Observer on September 23.

It is noted that the detention took place on Friday, September 22, when the Russian in the full darkness tried to cross the border in the Norwegian settlement Graens Jacobsel. He wanted to get back on the Kolish Peninsula. The local police confirmed the detention of a man. He is planned to make accusations of breach of border rules. Law enforcement officers decided not to name or the nationality of the detainee, but confirmed that he wanted to move to the Russian territory.

By the way, it is forbidden to cross the land border in this area. Journalists claim that a few hours before they had a brief meeting with Andriy Medvedev in the center of Kirkenez. Then the former mercenary Wagner shared plans that intended to cross the border and search for a car that could bring it. Most likely, as the journalists suggested in his material, he managed to overcome 50 kilometers to Grace Jacobselwa, where there was already Russian territory through the river.

As Andrei Medvedev managed to get there - there is no data, because public transport does not go to the border river. It is also not reported why he decided to return to his homeland. We will remind, Andriy Medvedev became the first famous fighter of PEC "Wagner", who managed to escape from the Russian Federation after participation in hostilities. In January this year, he crossed the border with Norway, where he invited asylum for himself.

A few weeks later, he recorded a video address, where he decided to apologize to Ukrainians living in Norway. All because of the protests that the Ukrainian diaspora in the country began to organize, because they are against asylum for a war criminal. On April 6, there was a report that Andrei Medvedev was detained in Sweden, where he went on cheap cigarettes.
