Russian troops in Ukraine have launched the latest generation of managed artillery shells of ZOP95 "Krasnopol-M2" for high-precision targets at a distance of up to 40 kilometers. Army recognition writes about it. According to Russian military expert Yevgeny Damantsev, Krasnopol-M2 was used in hostilities with a rifled towing gun 2A36 "Hyacint-B".
Among other artillery systems capable of shooting Krasnopol-M2 shells, is a self-propelled gun 2C5 "Hyacinth-C" and wheel howitzer 2s43m "Malva", their firing range-from 35 to 40 kilometers. "Krasnopol-M2" is a 152mm artillery shell with laser guidance, intended for high-precision strikes at enemy positions, team points and fortified structures. It uses a semi -active laser self -introduction, which allows to be given to the targets indicated by intelligence drones.
Circular probable deviation "Krasnopol-M2"-1-2 meters, which is much higher than traditional unmanaged artillery shells. The fragile-fugitive combat part is designed to neutralize living power and armored goals. 2A36, 2C5 and 2C43-the main artillery systems for shooting with Krasnopol-M2, but with this projectile are also compatible and additional platforms.
These include the self-propelled 2C19 "MSTU-C", which is equipped with a charging machine capable of driving controlled ammunition, and its towing analogue 2A65 "MSTA-B". The range of both systems with Krasnopol-M2 is up to 25 kilometers. In addition, the older, but still widely used self-propelled howitzer 2C3 "Acacia" with a shorter barrel length can also shoot Krasnopol-M2 ammunition at a range of about 20 kilometers.
The newest 2C35 "Coalition-SV" with its 152-mm gun 52 caliber is the last achievement of Russian artillery and can increase the range of firing "Krasnopol-M2" by the projectile "to 60 kilometers. The authors of the publication point out that the emergence of artillery shells with laser guidance gives Russian troops a significant advantage on the battlefield.
Conventional unmanaged shells, although effective for suppressing troops on the square, usually have a kVO 50-200 meters, which makes them less reliable for accurate blows. Krasnopol-M2 makes it possible to reduce the cost of ammunition and more effectively affect important goals with minimal related loss. The accurate guidance system also improves counter -battery operations, allowing Russian troops to strike the enemy's artillery positions with greater efficiency.
Another important advantage of "Krasnopol-M2" is its compatibility with modern intelligence and guidance technologies, such as drones. This combination improves the speed of detection and damage. The deployment of high -precision weapons indicates the strategic direction of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation towards a high -precision war, which reduces the dependence on massive artillery shelling and makes it possible to focus on destroying important goals.
This development creates problems for the defense forces, which now has to deal with the arsenal of managed ammunition of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Counterners such as radio electronic fighting systems, rapid mobility tactics and false goals, will be crucial to reduce the efficiency of Russian high -precision artillery. Recall that in the Russian Federation the Self -Product 2C42 "Lotus" with a new type of ammunition is being tested.
